Fundraiser guidelines

Clear, specific fundraisers help supporters understand the need and make informed decisions.

Explain the need

Describe who the fundraiser is for, what happened, the intended use of funds, and why the chosen goal is appropriate.

Use accurate photos and details

Use campaign media you are entitled to share and avoid imagery or wording that creates a false impression about the beneficiary or circumstances.

Post meaningful updates

Donate staff should use campaign updates to explain material progress, changes to the plan, or important developments supporters should know about.

Close the loop

When fundraising is finished, mark the campaign completed so supporters can see that new contributions are no longer being accepted.
